Wisdom teeth are 4: Two on each lower and upper jaws, both on right and left. They can start to grow from the age of 16, but they usually come out around the age of 20. Since they stay at the back of the tooth row and in a narrow area, they do not participate in the function much and are prone to easy decay.
Wisdom teeth usually cause a painful eruption period. In case of difficulty in eruption due to lack of space
